The International Exhibition of Cities and Local Authorities will be held at the same time as part of the Africities Summit and in the same place. The Africities Fair aims to provide concrete solutions to support the implementation of regional projects across Africa. This year, more than hundred exhibitors, 8,000 visitors and 5,000 delegates and regional decision-makers, in a hybrid, physical and digital format are expected.

Africities is also open to companies, institutions or organizations allowing them to exhibit products, tools, know-how to clients of local authorities. Indeed, the event offers institutions, economic operators, academia and research, and civil society organizations the opportunity to present their experiences, know-how, methods, tools, products, in response to requests and needs in terms of support to local authorities for the implementation of their mandates. It also makes it possible to organize B2B meetings with local authorities, which could possibly lead to the conclusion of contracts between protagonists.

Placed under the distinguish patronage of the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, it will take place on the sidelines of the 9th edition. Around a hundred exhibitors, 8,000 visitors and 5,000 delegates and regional decision-makers are expected this year, in a hybrid, physical and digital format. It is worth saying that the number of exhibitors increases over the Africities summits.

It should be noted that during its 8th edition in Marrakech in Morocco, which accompanied the International Summit of Cities and Local Authorities of Africa « Africities 2018 », 81 exhibitors representing 20 countries including 12 African (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Congo and Gabon) including Morocco, were present. As for the other foreign exhibitors, they came from France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Canada, and South Korea.

Like in the previous editions, the Africities-9 Fair is an opportunity for key players in territorial development (elected officials and local and national authorities, companies, financial institutions, prescribers, experts and international cooperation agencies, etc.) to debate, through a program of conferences and workshops, the major issues of territorial development policies and innovative technologies.
